Virtuose Pictures began its journey in 2015, founded by Mehdi Hani and Francesco Di Silvio, with the mission to reshape cinematic storytelling through creativity and innovation. Officially registered with the Federal Office of Culture in Switzerland, the company rapidly established itself as a key player in the audiovisual industry, producing films that not only captivate but also inspire and challenge audiences worldwide.

From its inception, Virtuose Pictures has been dedicated to producing high-quality, impactful films. Among its notable productions are Last Resort (2023), directed by Jean-Marc Minéo, a gripping portrayal of survival, and Francesca & Giovanni, (2024), directed by Ricky Tognazzi, Simona Izzo, which tells the powerful love story between Francesca Morvillo and Giovanni Falcone.

The company’s expertise spans all stages of production, from script development and pre-production planning to sound, editing, and post-production services. Through collaboration, artistic freedom, and a commitment to quality, Virtuose Pictures continues to push the boundaries of filmmaking, consistently delivering powerful visual narratives that resonate on both local and international stages.

Mehdi Hani

Mehdi Hani is a dynamic and self-taught entrepreneur known for his innovative spirit and successful ventures in Geneva, Switzerland.

With a proven track record of founding and leading companies in the medical, real estate, and finance sectors, Mehdi also channels his passion for cinema into producing and promoting independent films. His unique blend of business acumen and creative vision allows him to excel in diverse fields, making a significant impact both as an entrepreneur and a film producer.

Francesco Di Silvo

Francesco Di Silvio is a film producer whose career spans more than 20 years and includes musical collaborations with some of Italy’s greatest artists, such as Vasco Rossi, Lucio Dalla, and Luciano Pavarotti. He worked as a stage manager on Mel Gibson’s film The Passion and, in 2005, produced Abel Ferrara’s film Mary, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival. In 2022, Francesco won the International Grand Prix of Venice, the « Golden Lion.

Olivier Kohler

Olivier Kohler is a journalist and senior reporter at Swiss Radio and Television (RTS), he won “La Course à Travers l’Europe” in 1989.

Since 1998, he has worked for the international section of Swiss Television, covering conflict zones like the Balkans, the Middle East, and Africa. He has reported on key global events such as the Syrian war and the Arab Spring. Winner of the Nicolas Bouvier Prize, he also covered the fall of President Yanukovych in Ukraine.

A regular contributor to « Temps Présent, » he co-directed a film on the feminist movement Femen, awarded at the Vision du Réel Festival.
